Yet another successful Bunbury Singers concert!
Bunbury Singers performed an extremely successful concert at the Tarporley Baptist and Methodist Chapel in May, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Katy Armitage from the charity gave a short talk about their work and explained how the money raised would be spent.
The concert included the Sprig of Thyme by John Rutter, Kings of Swing (a medley of swing tunes including Moonlight Serenade and Chattanooga Choo Choo), and two soloists – Cath Shaw and David Fayle, who performed both classical and theatre numbers, really engaging the audience with their recitals. Ken Fayle, Bunbury Singers’ conductor, accompanied both soloists marvellously!
There was a raffle and refreshments with homemade cakes and biscuits, made by some of the members of Bunbury Singers. The evening was enjoyed by all who came and there were many positive comments, making it one of our most popular concerts. We raised a fantastic £750 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
